Tues/Wed 2nd Chance Clearinghouse For Posts That Deserve Another Look - Updated Daily
This is normally the community post for links that deserve more time up, but don't make reader rec on their own. During the election when there were a gazillion posts that were flying by, Raider99 designed it as a means of preserving good posts that were being lost. I took over for him, and had intended to keep going until the archives were working again.
They are not yet working, but there have been two consecutive days when no links have been posted, and I'm wondering if this community post has run it's course and is no longer of value.
I'd like to get the benefit of your thinking...
Please rec this post just like normal and let's get a dialog going over the next couple of days about whether to continue it or not...I'm happy to continue to do it if it is useful, but if it isn't going to be used, there is no point in using the space on the rec list.

It may be that the daily Clearinghouse thread is one of those great ideas like green energy, equality and prosperity for all. In other words, it will never be supported in practice except out of convenience when it suits people or when it is unavailable but needed.
Don't expect that every day (or even most days) will see it being used. But it is worthwhile if used on occasion.

Maybe we should simply choose a post one of us likes, and recommend it by re-posting it after it falls away. Not a central clearing house, but individual action for specific items.

Keep on keeping on. Give it a fair try and then if the dogs don't eat the dog food you can reconsider.
