Fri/Sat 2nd Chance Clearinghouse For Posts That Deserve Another Look - Updated Daily

This daily post is a clearinghouse for links to posts that either flew by too fast, didn't get the attention they deserved, or are so good they need to be up even longer...

ANYONE can link a post here. If you do, please describe it briefly and tell us why it deserves another look.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take the time to rec this post, even if you don't read any of the links or add anything. It only works if it makes it to READER REC everyday. If it barely makes it, it gets bounced off and good links are lost.

This is a post regarding Michelle Bachmann which includes the site address for donating to her opponent. If ever there was someone who deserves to be unseated, it's her...one scary person!

Since people are as likely to look here for new posts than the recent post list (how come that's no longer in the right column?):

This is a sad post...in the 1st comment is a link to a video of a racist jerk in Ohio that everyone should probably see...

According to the Columbus Dispatch, the Republicans in Ohio filed another lawsuit in the Ohio Supreme Court. The suit came from a Republican who lives in New Albany, Ohio which is a suburb of Columbus. This really is becoming ridiculous.

what is the likely outcome of the GOP efforts to disenfranchise voters in Ohio, and other targeted states? Based on past court decisions, or the merits of other charges being made.

Q: what is the likely outcome of the GOP efforts to disenfranchise voters in Ohio, and other targeted states? Based on past court decisions, or the merits of other charges being made.

A: That's a good question. I think that first number that jumps out is 118,000. That is how thin the margin was for the candidate who claimed a 500 vote victory in Florida during the 2000 election.

In my book, just mentioning "investigations" "courts" and "fraud" has a chilling affect and effect on voters. Besides, these are registrations and note votes.

From the WSJ:

Obama draws 100,000 in Missouri

The photo shows a sea of people. Fan-tas-tic!

Newspapers Endorse Obama

http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/editorials/la-ed-endorse19-2008oct19,0,5198206.story
Indeed, the presidential campaign has rendered McCain nearly unrecognizable. His selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate was, as a short-term political tactic, brilliant. It was also irresponsible, as Palin is the most unqualified vice presidential nominee of a major party in living memory/

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/16/AR2008101603436.html?nav=hcmoduletmv
The choice is made easy in part by Mr. McCain's disappointing campaign, above all his irresponsible selection of a running mate who is not ready to be president.

This one deserves it own special place:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/chi-chicago-tribune-endorsement,0,1371034.story

For the first time in the paper's 161 year history, it is endorsing a Democrat.

The Denver Post, "which had backed George W. Bush in 2004 and is owned by Republican-leaning William Dean Singleton," endorsed Barack Obama for president on Friday. "So did the Chicago Sun-Times, Kansas City Star. Southwest News-Herald (Ill.) and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. And to top it off: another Bush-backing in 2004, The Salt Lake Tribune."

In E&P's exclusive count, Obama now leads 58-16 in editorial endorsements.

Tha-tha-that's all folks!

This is a great idea.
