Headline: Lawsuit Filed in Detroit 911 Call Response

Call me callous, but do we really need this as a top national story? I bet something like this happens somewhere in the world every day, probably several times a day. Does this story rate such a high profile place in the National News? I don't think so. The original story should maybe make front page in a local Detroit paper and maybe a brief mention in your local paper. However, the story about the lawsuit is totally irrelevant. Millions of people die every single day, and their families don’t get 666 thousand dollars (the lawyer will get his cut). I don't know the details; I don't want to know the details, because I DON'T CARE! We are a nation of rubberneck jerks and we should be ashamed of ourselves…
