Claire McCaskill's healthcare town hall meeting cancelled by venue
Senator Claire McCaskill has a bunch of town hall meetings on health care reform scheduled next week.
But it looks like one of the venues just cancelled on her. And she's not happy about it.
Fear of teabagger shenanigans, perhaps?
UPDATE: Yup, teabaggers and swastikas.

Reasons for the cancellation by the school district are due to concerns for the safety and security of its staff, community members attending the event, and for the students who would be on campus during that time.Funny, it's kind like the Republican version of the Fairness Doctrine. "I DEMAND TO BE HEARD OR NOBODY SPEAKS AT ALL!"

Maybe they didn't like the fact that she disagreed with the liberal meme that protesters are "manufactured" opposition. Or maybe the union brigade got upset and decided not to "give her cover" for that.

Would you want your school invaded by a bunch of nuts angered past reason by a bunch of lies and possibly carrying concealed weapons?
No,no -- more fun to blame in on the liberals.
You probably voted for Bush and probably believed in WMDs.
Funny, what you'll fall for.

It's the crap Lowlife advocates and apologizes for - the racists out there, just to name the most recent and egregious example - that make him one of the most repellent visitors here.
Hint: AdBlock Plus will let you block his repellent avatar if you use Firefox. Worked on that pathetic POS Farrar's slice of ugliness too.

That is too bad. I heard of someone doing them via the internet. One of those things where people can call in and it works like a big conference call. The facilitator can allow everyone their turn giving an opinion, and if someone tries to disrupt, their line can be made one way only apparently, or just go dead.
For some areas where people cannot play nicely, maybe that is a thought.

Or stream it with email questions being taken and no live audience. And the email Q's go to a third-party address for relay so they can not be spammed.
And it's certainly easy enough to require verified registration for the stream access. Happens all the time. Anyone makes trouble, they've already identified themselves.

This is a shame. I would have loved to see those racist old white coots come into U. City with their BS. They would have learned that not everybody is prepared to put up with that crap. U. City is heavily minority inner suburb, very liberal community, lots of university professors and the like. The tea baggers would not have found that a friendly venue at all. They shouldn't have cancelled it. It would have put them in their place.
