The Trans Texas Corridor is a big deal here, and it's not just whack-jobs that oppose Tricky Ricky on that one, but sober moderate and liberal politicians and residents as well.

The TTC would basically write blank checks to toll road operators rather than use 100 percent of Texas' state gas tax (no, not all of it is roads-dedicated now) to build highways.

I was on this issue last weekend, noting not only his lack of credentials, but his attempts to make everything susceptible to cost-benefit analysis, which only looks at short-term costs, of course, but also noting the extremely risky solution he proposed if, in his mind, global warming ever did turn out to be real.

She's also as much a religious hypocrite as anybody from the Religious Right. Just 10 days before accepting the federal plea deal, she refused it because deliverance was just around the corner.

“If you aren't praying for me, then you are just adding to the problem. First and foremost, I am a child of God,” Conyers said. “All these things going on right now, I believe in my heart, God will deliver me from.”

As I note in a long blog post on this angle, I don’t even have problems with some schadenfreude here, not just for Ms. Conyers, but for either socioeconomic groups or racial-ethnic groups known for high levels of religiosity, and individuals in those groups smart enough to know better.

And, John has had his hand slapped before by House Ethics, so, it wouldn't surprise me one bit that he had some knowledge of his wive's activities.

It’s not a coup; the military was sworn out to do what it did, and Zelaya's replacement is just filling out the last six months of his term, nothing more.

As for Sage, it may simply be a better solution all around to have him expelled, as KGB wisely brings up the Charles Taylor counterexample.

Yeah, the optics of the EPA appear pretty bad, KGB. This could have been handled more smoothly, starting by emphasizing Carlson is an economist and therefore shouldn't be commenting on scientific issues as though he were.

But, back to the basic point... the CBA stuff he's written is a few years old, and he's high enough up the EPA rungs that somebody should have been aware of him sooner.
