Is North Korea getting into cyberterror?

That's the best explanation I can think of for cyberattacks that knocked out financial and national security websites in the U.S. and South Korea over the Fourth of July.

Washington is being tight-lipped, but who else would do that?

And, I've got more speculation on worse-case scenarios.

I had tried to post (elsewhere) some links to articles about this but it got lost.

The US and SK have had a joint security venture since the end of April (press report May 4). It's quite coincidental that both are now being reported to have seen significant attacks this past week. Of course without seeing the baseline data it's hard to know just how significant...

btw, I heard July 4-5 for the US and July 7 for SK.
