Blogo ain't going anywhere and what the MSLBs are getting wrong

Who says Blago ain't going anywhere? Former San Francisco Mayor and Assembly Speaker Willie Brown discusses a recent Blago phone call.

What the MSLBs (mainstream liberal blogs) are getting wrong? At least at Washington Monthly, pretty much everything in Stephanopoulos' blog Sunday. Rahmbo pushing Jarrett by name is NOT a "pro forma call."

What Angelic Funk didn't mention is any timeline discussion he had with Obama's authorized leaker, and how Jarrett being yanked fits into the one Blago-Rahmbo call and the four Rahmbo-John Harris calls.

But, at my blog post, the same as linked above, I ask the questions Stephanopoulos and Benen (among others, I suspect) didn't ask.

And, I agree with Willie Brown; not only ain't Blago going anywhere, he's still firmly in the saddle and Fitz has a weak hand in his whole cards.

Other points to note:
1. Obama's designated leaker, I guess, it's OK for him/her to leak, even with Fitz's cone of silence request.

2. Something else Steve Benen overlooked; this official leak is obviously PR spadework for the Obama report/review of Blago contacts. That report will NOT come out Monday. It will come out no earlier than Tuesday afternoon, so that it can promptly be buried by Christmas feel-good stories on the AP and TV.

3. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Fitz hopes Obama, in a sense, does his work for him, his hand is that week. And, I wouldn't be surprised if Obama isn't obliging. Doesn't matter, Blago still isn't going away. And, if/when he does, he isn't going alone. Willie Brown lays out some more thought on that, with my analysis, at the top link, starting with Lisa Madigan being his Senate choice after Jarrett was off the table.
