What blows my mind is it seemed to be the entire media machine. I was watching for the story to be reported by ANY major outlet, network or cable. The entire frigging group played along, as far as I could tell. Maybe I missed it.

And yes, I remember well the IAEA, El Baradei and other inspectors (including American vet Scott Ritter) being pooh pooh'd during and after the run-up to the Iraq invasion.

Of course they did the same thing to France, Germany, NATO etc. whenever the message was contrary to the Neocon/Vulcan meme.

I've also noticed that the media now addresses the issue as "the Iran nuclear WEAPONS program", having morphed from their "nuclear program". They don't seem to need any factual basis or proof for the morph. We can all just assume it is so.

Do you suppose that being a Harvard Law dude of all dudes, Obama is telling us the Executive doesn't demand the investigation/prosecution of the Executive? That the Legislative and the Judicial should hold the Executive accountable? Should initiate the checks and balances?

After all, the cat's out of the bag on a host of issues that should call our Congress to immediate and rigid attention. They should call for a special prosecutor to investigate the Executive. The Judicial backs them up like the rules say, and the Executive complies with subpoenas.

The cat is then fully out of the bag, scratching and bawling. The current Executive, having nothing to do with the previous Executive, shrugs at W and says "The Legislative and Judicial just smoked all your sorry asses like our Constitution calls on them to do.

I feel like you do, and wish Obama would take the lead. But I'm not the Executive Harvard Law Dude of all Law Dudes.

I give him the break for now, thankful for the gains we've made. I've got my fingers crossed it will all come out in the end, and move along towards the recovery Obama is promoting...walking away having never attacked the Executive.

Alaska is a beautiful place too, but there is a movement about, Deanie.

We put Mark Begich in the US Senate. A promising young Democrat I shared my first Democratic Caucus room with, trying to vote now President Obama into office.

We lost, on one hand. Alaska provided our measly 3 electoral votes to McCain/Palin. On the other hand, Mark went on to replace 'Uncle Ted' Stevens in the US Senate.

Watch Mark. He's sharp, and in a mass of confusion at our Caucus he rolled up his sleeves and weathered the storm with the rest of us in a grossly overcrowded Anchorage high school classroom.

The bottom line Deanie, is to start from the bottom line and work our way up.

And no, I can’t see Sarah’s house from my house in Wasilla.

We could divide Alaska in half and make Texas the third largest state. (Alaska/Texas joke :-D) But we love Texas too.
