Week of September 7, 2008 - September 13, 2008

Stop this GOP fake punt (SHUT PALIN DOWN)

Lets re-focus on McCain.

No.  Lets do MORE than that.  Lets refocus our whole COUNTRY on McCain.

Lets remind our undecided friends and family why they couldn't stand him just a few short weeks ago.

We can do this by reminding the message mongers in the USA just how irrelevant Sarah Palin is to this election.

Media outlets respond quickly to audience feedback.

So, the next time you see a Palin story, instead of coming here and fighting the server to vent about how much you hate her, why not contact the a outlet and RAISE HELL.

Tell them you, as a faithful audience member are SICK TO DEATH of her.

Make sure you reference the particular story.  Tell them what time you saw the story and what it was about.  Get the reporter's name and reference them in your correspondance.  Be as specific as you can so the outlet knows you're FUCKING FURIOUS about their specific product.

Then tell them what you want to see instead (I'd suggest more on Iraq and the Economy.  I'd suggest NOT saying you want to hear more about Obama, because the outlet may assume you're an Obama operative and dismiss your feedback.)

Believe me folks, this can work.  I work at a TV station, and when they see a significant jump in emails and calls about an issue, they pay attention and act accordingly.

Please consider recommending this post so others can use these tips.

Democrats are embarrasing

2 humiliating Presidential election cycles and 8 long years of political hell and the left has learned nothing.

November was all but in the freakin' bag.  We have an insipring class act at the top of an historical ticket and a geriatric clown for an opponent.

But the netroots it seems annot wait to have their ASSES handed to them yet again by jumpi9ng into the gutter and getting dirty with the "culture warriors."

My family is full of Republicans.  They're infuriated and embarrassed by Bush.  They can't stand McCain.  I consider every one of them a swing voter.  I consider almost all of them votes for Obama.

Ast least I DID, until we decided to HELP the GOP fight this elction on their own turf by hyperventialting about everything Sarah Palin says and does (ahem, Josh Marshall, ahem...) and, by extension, injecting every cultural wedge issue that Republicanbs use to cover the fact that they're COWARDLY MURDEROUS TRAITORS.

For Chrissakes, friends, you don't build numbers by screaming about how you are different.  You build numbers by talking about what you have in common.

LETS GET BACK ON MESSAGE.

1) REMIND PEOPLE WHAT THIS ELECTION IS TRULY ABOUT!

IRAQ, ECONOMY, DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, CONSTITUTIONAL RAPE, GITMO, KATRINA...

These are all things that most Americans are FURIOUS about, no matter what they think of the NRA.  HAMMER THEM.

Even my Evangelical parents and sisters think that Global Warming is a big deal.

If this election is about Irag, their jobs, and their retirement funds evaporating, they will vote with you.  If this election is about God, guns, and abortion, they will vote against you.

Remember, swing votes are in the center.

2) STOP TALKING ABOUT SARAH PALIN!

She is a GOP wet dream.

If you are talking about her, you CANNOT talk about the issues that are most damaging to Republicans.

You CANNOT talk about Palin and Iraq.  She has no relevant connection to it.  And so it goes with the rest of the Republican baggage that has the country in ruins.

What she IS is GOP wedge issues personified.

Plus, many swing-types have something in common with her (they hunt, they go to church, etc.) so over the top Palin-o-phobia  gives the right-wing MEDIA WHORES a ready made script: "These people don't respect your values!"  This is the same line Republicans have been hiding their CHICKENSHIT MURDEROUS asses behind for as long as I can remember.

Don't give them that free advertising.  Leave her where she belongs, in the margins of election obscurity.  Make her WORK for exposure.

this is the second time I've posted this, so sorry if the firs shows up sometime.

Liberals are embarassing...

2 absolutely humiliating election cycles to and 8 long years of political hell and the left has still learned nothing.

November was all but in the freakin' bag.  A CLASS ACT at the top of an historic ticket, a geriatric CLOWN for an opponent...yet somehow the net roots CANNOT WAIT to dive into that gutter and get their asses handed to them by the "culture warriors."

My family is full of Republicans.  They're all infuriated and embarassed by Bush.  They can't stand John McCain.  They are likely votes in Obama's column.

That is, they WERE, until we decided to HELP the GOP fight this battle on their home turf by hyperventilating about anything and everything Palin says and does (and injecting all of the wedge issues Republican COWARDS and TRAITORS hide behind right back into this cycle.)

For Chrissakes friends, you don't build your numbers by screaming about how you're different.  You build numbers by talking about things you have in common.

LETS GET BACK ON-MESSAGE!

1) REMIND PEOPLE WHAT THIS ELECTION IS REALLY ABOUT:

IRAQ, KATRINA, GITMO, DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, CONSTITUTIONAL RAPE, ECONOMIC CRISIS.  These are things that almost EVERYONE is pissed about, no matter what they think about the NRA.

Even my Evangelical parents and sisters think Global Warming is real.

If this election is about Iraq, their jobs and retirement funds, they will vote WITH you.  If this election is about abortion and guns, they will vote against you.

2) STOP TALKING ABOUT SARAH PALIN!  The only reason anyones still talking about her is because WE keep bringing her up! (ahem, Josh Marshal, ahem...)  She also happens to be every cultural wedge issue Republicans count on personified.

On top of that, any criticism of her (regardless of how true it is) gives GOP Media WHORES a ready-made emotional wedge with the center crowd : "These people don't respect YOUR values!" is the line they hide their COWARDLY MURDEROUS  asses behind..

Don't give them that ground!

HERE'S the script for getting this election back on track...

Sarah WHO?  Never heard of her.

Have I told you about Barack Obama?

Reasoning: the right wing base likes nothing more than feeling victimized by "The Left" and "The Media."  The more we talk about Palin's shortcomings, the more they rally behind her.

Truth is irrelevant in this case.  What we view as damning evidence of her inadequacy is playing right into their hand.

Time to move the focus back to the oval office, where there's no contest.
