Sell Outs
Senators and Congressmen generally do not care about messages from non-constituents. But, they also do not like receiving large piles of messages that tell them they are wrong. They can be shaken.
Here is Kent Conrad's webform. He is this week's public option sell out. Tell him what you think about that.

Senator Kent Conrad's vote against a public option, made possible by contributions from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kindred Health Care, Amgen, New York Life Insurance, the American Hospital Association, and other non-U.S. citizens.

Sent to Conrad, Bauchus and Bingaman.
Someone from the DSCC had the great misfortune of calling me. Rough transcript of the conversation:
DSCC woman: Give us money so we can increase out majority in the Senate.
Me; Call me back after we pass reform with a real public option.
DSCC woman: But...but... it's so hard. We need bigger majorities!
Me: What is the use of a majority if we are don't use it and cave to Republicans?
DSCC woman: But think of the Blue Dogs! It's so hard for them.
Me: They don't have to vote for the bill if it is against their principles. They just can't be obstructionist. Allow the bill with a public option to come to a full vote.
DSCC woman: Fine, be like that. Hmmph.
We have to hold these people accountable for their actions and inactions.

This is what I sent:
"I don't live in North Dakota, but neither do most of your contributors, which are insurance industry lobbyists. You really need to realize that you are betraying your entire party and the country with your abandonment of a public option in the "reform of health care" that you care so little about.
How in the world do you justify demonizing health care of all things? You are disingenuous and a liar.
I worked very hard in the last election, including in states other than where I live. If you continue to sabotage health care reform, I will do whatever it takes to remove you from office. I will contribute to whoever runs against you, even if it is a republican. All the millions you have gotten from the health insurance companies will dry up if you lose your next election.
If you "win," and health care reform "dies," you will get -- what? What are you fighting for? More money? It is time for you to do the right thing -- what the American public wants and needs is in your own self-interest.
