Pork 'Em
It will soon be time for round two and hardball politics. Here is the plan:
1. Load it up with as much pork as possible.
2. Not one dime for the 177 districts whose representatives voted no this time.
3. Not one dime in areas that principally support the anti-stimulus Senators.
4. Load up on extra porky pork for just enough "moderate" Republican Senators so they have no choice but to vote for it.
5. Push it through on a no negotiation, party line (plus 2 "moderate" Republican Senators) vote.
6. Tell them on round 3, it will be the same, except all current federal commitments in those 177 districts and other areas will be canceled to pay for the pork for the positive votes. Draft the bill and have it ready to go.
In other words, it is time to crush the opposition.

Hey There 'Oh Grand Marquis',
Not to detract from clever post, but wouldn't this in essence be hurting the innocent? Hey, I don't want to be punished because Palin is the Governor here.....
Pithy, funny and in theory, righteous indignation is a good thing. Just like your posts.
(Do subscribe to the crushing opposition sentiment.)
Thanks.

I don't think one ever has to go to stage 3, but not certain. But there comes a time when folks who elect the idiots have to get the idiots' outcome. If they can put 2 and 2 together, it won't take long for them to make a better choice.

Sounds like a plan . . .
Now if we can just get the fence sitting worry warts to stop bending over on the blue side of the aisle to go along instead of being fearful of being pilloried and outed by the likes of this old decrepit "village elder" . . .

Congratulations!!!!!
You've just perfectly described the Roosevelt re-election strategy of the 1930s!!!! It worked great!!!!
Roosevelt pumped jillions into swing states guaranteeing his, and his congressional cohorts reelection while impoverishing states which weren't essential!!
New Deal agricultural programs mandated the destruction of food crops while children with distended bellies in states unimportant to Roosevelt died of malnutrition!!!!
It was the socialist's finest hour in America!!! I know you can't wait for a repeat!!!! Let the sorry bastards eat cake!!!!! We don't need their vermin prodigy in the coming socialist utopia!!!! Let the bastards starve!!!!

Let's see some evidence for that claim. Yes, I know the Agricultural Adjustment Act utilized crop destruction in an effort to reduce excess supply and raise crop prices. Let's see your evidence that FDR knowingly let children die.

Toad,
I'm confident Stalin didn't know any of those millions of Ukrainian children he starved on a first name basis.
But that just happens to be one of the hallmarks of socialism.. Starving the children to death.
Have a look at what socialism is currently doing to children in Sub Saharan Africa. And you're just amphibian enough to believe it's just an incidental 'growing pain' on the path to Marxist Utopia!!!!! cruel. in addition to ignorant.

I wasn't defending socialism in the first place. And you didn't answer my question or produce any evidence. Instead you go on the attack with some twaddle about Stalin and then seem to suggest that I support Robert Mugabe. Nice idiotic diversion, you paranoid pooper.
