Charles meets Barack.

I normally am not one for posting Obama campaign videos on this blog, but this simply moved me beyond anything I can express:

Remember our elders on Election Day. This is for them, too.

If that doesn't bring a tear ...

Thanks, Sci. Yet another moment from this campaign that made me cry.

Amen. I can't fully put into words how much this makes me think of my great-grandfather, my "Papa", who fled Mississippi at 15 because he was about to be lynched. He passed in 1995, but oh...were he to see this.

November 4, people.

The change that is going to sweep the globe if Obama is elected will be substantial.

No matter how our reputation has fallen around the world these past 8 years, the world still looks to us for leadership on matters of civil rights and equality.

The symbolic nature of an Obama presidency is not lost upon the world and it certainly isn't lost on folks like Charles who probably never believed this could happen in his lifetime.

Scientific, you and Charles brought tears to my eyes.

Thank you, Scientific. Charles is what I call a real America. No hate, no slime, just a real person helping out with something he believes in.

Nice. I'm sticking with the values my grandmother taught me: play nice, and share! What's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?

Damn, I think I have something in my eye.

Thanks for the uplift, Scientific.

Be well.

Between this clip of Charles, and the photos that included one of Obama, on automatic pilot, cleaning up an ice cream spill, I am gratefully reminded of the inherent goodness in people. Thank you.

What a beautiful testimonial. Very moving. Reminded me of my dad and all the men in his generation who struggled and came home to a country that would not allow them to enter front doors and drink out of water fountains but they ignored that ignorance and fought for America anyway.

I teared up with Charles said ..people like me are dying off, all of them...you know he was thinking of his wife when he said it. Sad.

Yet at the same time, he has hope for all the future generations.

Beautiful, Scientific...thanks for sharing.

I am typing through my tears. Our very souls are crying out and we will not be denied our hope. Too many of us for the old order to prevail. These fools who have been running things are done and will remembered as a failure. Our grandchildren will read about this era and be thankful for Charles and the rest of us who stood up and said, "enough".

Thanks for posting this.
