I don't understand the way these people think.

First they insist that the government is so beaureaucratic and incompetent that they can't run anything right; then they proceed to say that the government will run healthcare so well that they'll run everyone else out of business. Does this make any sense to anyone with an IQ above Palin's?

Why is that interesting? There are plenty of people who stick to commenting for a myriad of reasons. Perhaps he has a life that keeps him too busy. Perhaps he has other outlets for his creative ideas and/or thoughts.

Are we only allowed to comment on blogs if we are willing to blog ourselves? I don't recall reading that as one of the "rules" on TPM.

I agree with the rest of his column although I guess I didn't state that succinctly enough. As far as what "statement" you're referring to, I haven't a clue.

Regardless that's not the point. We can sit here and scream that he's not all of those things and yet there are people who believe it. How many stories have there been debunking the Kenyan birth story and yet how many still believe it?

I'm sorry if you feel like I took taken his quote out of context, but it was an incredibly irresponsible thing to write in context or out of context. If you disagree then, please, in what context is it okay to shoot a duly elected POTUS?

Actually, last I knew, Professor Hawking doesn't have a keyboard. He actually has a "clicker" type device he holds which is attached to a computer screen where he can scroll through and choose the words he's looking for.

I've been to Smyrna and that about sums it up pretty nicely. (Although there is this one REALLY good BBQ joint).

Anyway, it's changing radically and quickly, though. The last time I was there, I was amazed at the large hispanic influx that was taking place. Might explain some of the knee-jerk bitterness.
