Re: Feldman in PA

Wow, my homestate's GOP is in quite the sticky wicket. Apparently, they thought it would be a good idea to play on racial fears and prejudices - specifically fear and hatred of blacks and suspicions of another Jewish holocaust. But when John Murtha, who grew up in western PA, called it like he saw it, he was shouted down.  I'm from northeast PA - there are lots of racists there. Now who is it that got mad at Murtha? The racists? They wouldn't want to NOT be seen as racists. They're friends have names for that. The non-racists? Maybe, but most of them know a few racists (it's unavoidable in PA) so if it is them, they're being a little disingenuous. I think it's people who had no intention of voting for Murtha or Obama anyway, for whatever reason, and are playing this up. But obviously, Feldman and the PA GOP agreed with Murtha's assessment, because their strategy depends on him being right.
