Historical Ignorance, Tea Bagger Style
I can't help marveling at the fact that the "Tea Party" health care protesters at the capitol
today recited the pledge of allegiance "to drive the liberals crazy," completely oblivious to the fact that the pledge of allegiance was written by Christian Socialist, Francis Bellamy.

This is but one of a zillion contradictions we'll encounter between birth and death. This one I'm not so worried about.

Let's not even talk about John Boehner reciting what he said was the opening lines of the Constitution while proceeding to recite the opening lines of the Declaration of Independence. Maybe John needs to spend less time in the spray tan booth and more time getting his facts straight. Then again when have the facts or the truth every gotten in John's way before?

I wonder how tea-baggers would react if they knew that theologians of all faiths are in agreement that out of everything attributed to Jesus having said, only 14% can be proven by evidence and facts. Everything else is make believe.

Facts... Truth... and History be damned . . .
Why should they let such small things get in their way?
