Because we're so tanked economically - and, evidently, spiritually - there's been a lot of talk of late, pro and con, about Military Keynesianism - economic policy in which a government boosts military spending in an effort to increase and strengthen national economic growth.
Everyone's whining that Democrats are yielding too much ground to a battered GOP in the name of "bi-partisan" accordance on the stimulus bill.
Infrastructure funding has been watered down. There have been tax cuts added. There's pork, pork, pork turning what should be an expensive but fleet gazelle into a "Biggest Loser" reject who just can't fend off burgers and truffles. And the GOP, always going for the symbolic talking point, has bumped contraceptive funding from the bill.
