No peace in Mideast this year! Damn!


Anyone hoping the dog-and-pony photo op at Annapolis a year ago might yet bear fruit can stop deluding themselves and go back to awaiting the final arrival of that once-ballyhooed Y2K breakdown: Condi Rice says there won't be any Israeli/Palestinean settlement before Bush leaves office.

Just when you thought it was safe in the voting booth...


Anyone who ever doubted Oregon is a state filled with simpering pantywaists willing to throw away our precious freedoms like soiled Handi-Wipes, listen up: The Beaver State turned down an offer from one of our top mercenary firms to jug up restive voters today.

That's right. Oregon voting officials were approached by Evergreen Defense & Security Services, Inc. with a proposal that would return some semblance of order - and discipline - to our roiling, chaotic polling places, "detaining troublemakers" and making sure voters "do not get out of control."

Tomorrow's election and the paper trail that ain't


Let's face it: It's in the bag. At this point, the only mystery in tomorrow's election is just how big the Obama/Democratic landslide will be.

Eight years of Republican misrule have led us to the brink of financial and diplomatic disaster. We have squandered our futures on a lame bet that men and women in expensive tailoring would do the right thing and curb their greed to prove viable an unregulated market.
