I Rule the Internet. Who Am I?

Photobucket

President Obama has nominated me to be one of the five commissioners of the FCC. I will rule TV and the internet. My résumé includes delivering free news-rags and sitting in a chair. Will I sell out the internet to my telecom friends, and allow Rupert Murdoch to buy PBS? Wait and see!

More fun and games with "Mystery Meat" at the FCC!

"Guess how many people are better qualified than me to be a commissioner on the FCC, and decide the destiny of the internet?"

(This is a trick question.)

"So what's your answer?"

"100,000,000 people are better qualified than you, "Mystery Meat," to be a commissioner of the FCC and decide who gets franchises for TV stations, and how many news outlets Rupert Murdoch can own in the same market?"

"Wrong!"

"200,000,000?"

"Wrong!"

"5,000,000,000?"

"Wrong!"

"So what's the answer? How many people are better qualified than you, Mystery Meat, to be a commissioner on the FCC?"

"The answer is..."

"Wait for it..."

"I don't have a fucking clue!"

"Harharharhar!!!"

Try this link instead - you have a dangling quote that's killing you.

And isn't it our turn for nepotism? Kill-joy.

It's an FCC conspiracy. That link is not working either. :o(

Link repaired. Thanks for the heads-up!

Ruta,

TGIF!

Um, I'm a bit flummoxed over your choosing the term 'mystery meat'?!? Let me ponder a minute...

Yeah, for me anyway (nothing to do with individual you reference) it's disgusting and not needed.

Makes me not care about your 'message' regarding the nut of your post.

Welcome to the sausage-grinder!

This is politics we're talking about, and if (un-named individual) screws up the internet, and Fox/ABC/NBC/CBS get preferential rates, then...

We're done here!

This is about Obama screwing around with the last open channel of communication and political discourse in the United States that isn't controlled by right-wing billionaires.

No offense to you, Aunt Sam, and don't google these words, but the appropriate level of discourse for the first 100 days of Obama isn't "Mystery Meat"... that's already a gentrification!

147 non-combatant women, children, and old people blown to bits in Afghanistan this week in one bomb-run by our B-52s!

$12.8 trillion in useless give-aways to banks while mortgages and jobs go down the sewer!

The appropriate level of discourse about the first 100 days of Obama isn't "Mystery Meat"...

It's "Two Girls, One Cup."

(Do not google those words!)

Just take my word for it.

It's really, really, really obscene!

But it isn't any more obscene than giving away $12.8 trillion to criminal bankers, and blowing 147 women and children to bits!

Again, you are going off topic. When you post on issue, the relevancy of terms needs to be with the issue cited - at least that's what I need for ability to understand author's message.

This blog, as posted, was about specific FCC and individual. Therefore, your response that -

"This is about Obama screwing around with the last open channel of communication and political discourse in the United States that isn't controlled by right-wing billionaires."....

is not what is inferred in your initial post.
Therefore, the usage of this term (to me) comes across only as a cheap shot at the individual.

I should be appointed I was forced out of radio ownership by Clear Channel. I know the damage that media concentration can cause.
Ms. Clyburn (yea his daughter) is not qualified.

Clear Channel!

Those guys have been cashing out in a big hurry! First they went private for $18 billion, and then sold all their TV and off-market radio operations.

Is the USA sinking? If you judge by how many rats are running off the ship. we're going down fast!

I'm sorry to hear about your station. There was absolutely no public interest involved in allowing giants like Clear Channel to buy up the market.

You will just like the formerly known analog TV channels. Digital buffet anyone? Hurrah...
