Does this mean we get to rename the airport?
It's been, I think, one of the great unchallenged truths of the conservative mythos that St. Ronald and his Star Wars plan bankrupted the Soviets. Well, it turns out that that wasn't true at all, really, Reagan's role was considerably less than his hagiographers would have us believe. Nobody could have predicted this, of course.

Sure; rename it for Gorby. Or Glasnost.
People who credit Reagan for bankrupting the Sovite Union also forget who very long it took the US to realize they were crumbling, yet we get pouring zillions into our Defense of Them.
But I confess I'd switch Cape Kennedy back to Canaveral. That was the bst name anywhere, anytime. (don't hit me; i just like the name!)

They changed it back to Cape Canaveral years ago. It’s the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. (Wow, guess it was even longer ago than I thought; according to Wikipedia they changed the name of the cape back to Canaveral in 1973, so it was only Cape Kennedy for a decade. Time flies!)

Everything named after Reagan needs to be changed back. In fact, to reflect the fact that the Soviet Uniion fell on his watch, yet through no action of his, I'd suggest a Soviet-styled erasure of "Saint Ronnie" from American memory. Make him a "non-person" in true Kremlin style. What a fitting memorial that would be.
