You know this reminded me of several people over the years who would take me aside and say things like:
YOU KNOW THEY DO NOT SWEAT LIKE WE DO.
I would shake my head and say something about whether they had a 'study' or some such to buttress their ridiculous statement and they would be even more adamant in their conviction.
Yes, those people were acting in a racist manner for racist reasons. I do not care who they voted for.

Of course they won't. If they did, they'd be inviting a class action suit and litigation on behalf of every single member. Right and wrongs aside, the costs of fighting all those suits would bankrupt the place. If they fight the state they might (a) win, or at least (b) delay the deluge till they figure out what they're going to do.

I don't know how we're going to fix things, so long as black and white are separated in our minds using indicators like income level, educational achievement, quality of schools, homes, family stability.
Hell, even the fact that I just wrote what I did means I myself have a problem.
So many unintentional racists. It only takes a little anger (or a little beer) to bring out the very worst in us.
