To this time last year, and the attacks on Kerry while I mailed in my absentee ballot yesterday. It's been pretty clear who I was going to vote for for a while, but I did give it one last going over before pulling the trigger. Bush had one message and kept hammering it--flip flop, and sissy. What is the McCain campaign's message? I'm serious. It's not like I spend a whole lot of time on National Review or Weekly Standard, or Red State, but I am a news junkie. What's more, teams that snipe at each other while the game is still being played are not headed for victory. ("Whack job"?! Are you kidding me?).
The campaign has really has boiled down to blackgaysexdeadbabyterroristcommie.
That's all there is left. I think we're witnessing the death of an intellectual era here. The conservative movement is on its way to the hinterlands for a long, long time. Adios, and pack your rations. Don't come out of the hills till the UN invades.
PS--I will gladly give $100 to the first Alaska legislator that introduces articles of impeachment against Caribou Barbie.
