Waxman's committee has just proven that Plame was covert. What that means is that, for the last year-plus, the Washington Post, Fox News, and the NY Times have implicitly (and explicitly) been covering up the kind of political payback one would expect from Castro's Cuba. If there's any doubt that these papers (esp Fred Hiatt) have been unapologetically used by this bunch, this should be the clincher.

As a side note, it's interesting that the professional bureaucracy cleared all of this. The CIA has just started to get its payback, and I don't think it's over. It's going to be impossible to argue now that Libby's testimony was not material, as the identity of a "covert" operative was disclosed.

If this was a D in the white house, the impeachment resolutions would already be drafted.
