Is this really surprising?

According to the mother ship, ABC news has "learned" that there are Sunni insurgents planning attacks in the United states.  Should this surprise any one?  We destroyed the existing power structure, and now Sunnis (complicit in Hussein's crimes or not) are subject to the whim of Shiite militias and Sadr's version of heady justice.  Criminal gangs kidnap civilians regularly to finance their insurgent operations.  Is anyone seriously surprised that maybe some of that anger has become directed at the people in this country who allowed this to happen?

It's quite simple, really.  The D's ought to be on the horn saying--without equivocation--that this war has made us less safe and that we should be leaving Iraq as soon as possible.  The Sunnis that are plotting revenge against the US will find that revenge much harder in a Shiite-majority country.  Good news--less terror attacks against the US.  Bad news--iraq becomes Iranian satellite.

 Heckuva job.

PS-- It does not follow that because we have caused harm in Iraq by allowing civilians to be killed in a civil war that the above justifies attacks on Americans  in any way whatsoever.

It's because of something collective'." --Barack Hussein Obama
