Republicans for Joe???

Rove directed Republican contributors to give--and give big--to Lieberman's campaign. (sorry for no link--it's a quirk of safari and I don't know html syntax). Joe took the money, but said that he would not "play ball," whatever that means. (I think it meant unequivocal Bush support).
There is no quid pro quo here, but it suggests that the same people that have created the current mess are the same ones that want to see Joe re-elected. That's not what most of the country wants.
