Do As I Say, Not As I Do....Chumps!

There is so much hypocrisy wrapped up in this single act that I can't hide my disappointment.

Okay I just can't resist -
How is this hypocrisy when he's paying for this out of his personal account? He's doing three things:
1. Giving and showing appreciation to the staff.
2. Spotlighting a business owner from a locale
suffering greatly as result of recession.
3. Recirculating some of their personal wealth via the marketplace (transportation, retail stores, et al.)
And note: If you rely on this British Tabloid for your facts (entire story and presented in non-biased, factual manner) you will always come away uninformed and none the wiser.

The only hypocrisy I see here, is someone posting a piece from a London Tabloid, pitching it as truth, in a slatternly attempt at derogation. Maybe you should get your news from American Celebrity rags:
A recap: While on the campaign trail last year, Presidnet Obama tried pizza at a St. Louis restraunt, and like it. The owner of the resraunt, an Obama supporter, offered to send several frozen pizzas to the White House, but security regulations would not allow it. Instead, the owner, at his own expense, flew in with the fixings, and prepared the pizza in the White House kitchen. Why do you have a problem with this? Are you opposed to a small businessman, spending his own money how he sees fit?
Did you read the piece before or after looking at pixs of Pregnant Nicole Richie, and Peaches Geldof's unsightly sweat patches? Enquiring Minds want to know...Obama tried pizza at a St. Louis restaurant, and like it. Robby, love, where is the hypocrisy?
You can't mail the pizza because of the security regulations. That same pizza will only make it through security if it is accompanied by the body. Don't you see the difference?
Also, please understand that the White House security is necessarily more strict than TSA rules in airports. Yes, TSA allows you to carry food as long as it's in container, but TSA only deals with millions of ordinary visitors per day, not presidents.
It's only one return flight in economy after all, the carbon footprint is practically invisible (and probably un-smellable).
And just imagine all the good things a President will do for the country once he's had a chance to enjoy a good meal.
So stop your horrid right-wing whining. He was probably just stimulating the economy.

Methinks you should issue a modification to this post for the love of Rob.

This particular flight that brought the chef was coming to DC anyway, right? My only surprise is that you called Obama a hypocrite for this -- why not a fascist? That seems to be the right-wing accusation of the day, even though it is merely projection.
Since the "hypocrisy" has been refuted, why don't you try again with another accusation? If you don't have the nerve to go with "fascist," how about "elitist?" Send that up the flag pole and see if anyone will salute it.

So much hypocrisy wrapped up in, what? An act or something.
(((oh NO))) say it isn't so. Not in an XBOX or a Stealth Bomber.

Carbon footprint for a Pizza? Don't give me that crap about "the flight was already going there". I thought we were in a global warming emergency here.
And haven't they constantly been bashing the rich for being "out of touch" with the common person? Please tell me what kind of message this sends.
Shall I go on? All of you are a bunch of apologists and you know it.

So, if the flight is already flying to DC, how is that changing the carbon footprint of this particular pizza? Would you prefer that all flight requests go through your filter? Is it okay for someone to take their kids to Disney? How about honeymooners, do they get dispensation as long as they are One Man and One Woman? I have a feeling that the new Obama dog probably was flown here too -- doesn't that just make you barking mad?
Seriously, Robby - you need to learn to pick your battles. This pizza thingy just makes you look like a "crusty" old complainer.

Sometimes making a really big thing out of nothing is like putting pineapple on a pizza. No taste.

Just like the pizza toppings - it takes all kinds!
(And I likely would have used the comparison of anchovies instead of pineapple - but good point! Robby will, unfortunately, always taste the bitter instead of the sweet - from all the bile he has stored up!)
