Congress Gets A Raise
The American taxpayer has to pony up $700 billion to bail out Wall Street executives and Congress goes ahead and gives themselves a raise.
The headline should have read "With The Economy In Shambles, Congress Raises Their Middle Finger At America".
Wow.

Whether or not congress gets a raise should not be up to them. It is absolutely illogical and totally absurd. Virtually eveyone who is in their position would give themselves a raise.
The country should vote every year to decide this. If you think they did their job well, then give them a raise. And vice versa. Make the ballot show yes or no to giving a raise. You could even have a box to check the amount. Graduate that amount in one-half percent increments up to a specified value or a value not to exceed inflation from the last twelve months.
Doing this the way we are is DUMB!!!!
