War Hero Bush
I have for a long time had anger at, and contempt for, gutless, soulless, sociopathic, warmongering, chickenshit, chickenhawks. Occasionally, something happens to bring that anger boiling to the surface.
This morning there is a column by Tom Chartier on the Lew Rockwell.com sight about a pathetically stupid Vietnam Vet who gave one of his purple hearts to George Bush. There is a picture of Bush proudly wearing it.
Read the article if you can stand being outraged one more time by our fearless leader.

It is a beautiful spring day in the Mountain West and I am so mad I could puke. My stomach feels like it did when I saw friend’s moments after they had just earned a purple heart. Some were still screaming, some would never scream again. Bush just keeps grinning as he demeans one more symbol of honor.
In the past I have stupidly taken the position that impeachment was a bad idea at this time. Impeach Bush, the lives saved will number in the thousands.

I have blogged several times about this "Chicken Hawk" administration and their cowardice.
I couldn't agree with you more. As a Vietnam Vet corpsman, I saw too many who EARNED the purple heart. These guys make me sick to my stomach too.
Thanks for posting this. Now I know I'm not alone in my disgust for these monsters and their hypocritical FALSE patriotism.

After reading the article I left the house to do some work. I was surprised how upset I stayed. Finally, to try to get it off my chest and maybe out of my mind I went to my car and wrote out my blog post on my lap-top and then went into the nearest town and found a library to get on the net and post it I just couldn’t get over the picture of Bush and his mindless audacity

Well Decider Guy, why don’t you put your worthlessness… oops I mean worthiness, to the test? Here’s the perfect scientific experiment. Pin that Purple Heart to your left breast and parade through the wards at the Walter Reed Ghetto. Let’s see what the men and women rotting there have to say about it.

Remember that these are the people who wore band-aids with purple hearts drawn on them at the 2004 Republican National Convention, mocking the real Purple Hearts that John Kerry earned.

Update: Even though there is no good reason to be fair with Bush, Tom Chatier has now said that there is evidence that the photo was doctored but that the facts as represented are correct.
Seeing Bush's face is enough to get me started. The facts still piss me off.
