God help me, I can't stop crying
I loved Teddy and the Kennedy clan. Despite obvious flaws, they represent all that is good about this country and liberalism -- a love of neighbor that refuses to measure human worth by net worth, that strives for a higher good despite our sins, that believes in the power of redemption and that understands the duty to use whatever privileges fate has bestowed on us to lift up the greater family of humanity.
I know Teddy is kicking back and having a drink right now, but I swear, I can't stop crying because we've lost a giant soul who made each of ours a little taller, too.

We all have to go at some point Ripper. Yeah it is sad that the Senator is no longer with us...but the world is a better place because of him. He inspired me while he was here and the memory of his life and career will continue inspire me now that he is gone. We now got to redouble our efforts to get his dreams to become reality in his memory.

Well, you just cry, Ripper honey. When people I live die, it reminds me of my own mortality, and the deaths of all the folks I've loved, and the ones who will die. Teddy was that important to you; it's quite touching.
Here's a song for you; your avatar always reminds me of him.
Not great quality, but the only one that wasn't a cover.

I still like "I've got a name". Looking forward, but keeping family and the past close.

Don't know why you guys are settling on Croce tonight (my avatar is actually Elliot Gould), but I thank you. I used to sing "Time In A Bottle" to my wife. "I Got A Name" always lifted me when I was down, and I'm glad to report it still does.

Elliot Gould, actually. Funny you mention Croce. He's still one of my favorite singer/songwriters.

I can't listen to that right now. I don't want to start again. But I thank you, wendy. I used to play it on guitar all the time before I couldn't play at all.

I have been saying the same thing all day.
I am lost and I am aching and I cannot find my way home.
It is like the four corners that would help me find my way in this miserable world....one of those four corners are gone.
I shall miss Senator Kennedy. He was one of my gods. And now he is with the gods.
IT'S NOT EASY.
