A question for TPM Cafe admin...
Is there any way to enforce a hard limit on post length and require the little 'more' thingy to visit the whole body of a lengthy post?
I really don't mind clicking that 'more' - it will leave more room for more current posts to appear, and it will encourage both more 'to the point' writing and more upfront sizzle as an enticement.

I so agree.
I think there should be a word limit in initial post space and when one reaches that limit must hit the applicable tab to post additional text for the 'read more'....
So needed!
(And, no game or other 'ads' allowed! Ever!)

I think the posts should be made for people to read in under 20-seconds because I have no really attention span and can't process complexity. I usually love the internet, but TPM and the intelligent contributors make me think too much sometimes and I feel sometimes and also like maybe I'm not a person who isn't dumb because also they write too much?

Reviewing my initial post, I was not quite clear - I only favor limiting the initial appearance of the post on the 'Recent Posts' page, not the overall length of the post.
Make your first three paragraphs sizzle, and I'll gladly click to read more.

Kos does this.
For anyone reading this, until such time as TPM imposes a limit, please try to use the "extended" tab for the bulk of long posts.

My post above came off a bit harsh in reading it the day after, and I didn't mean it to be anything but humorous. No offense was intended. I was thinking of Palin when I wrote it.
I personally would rather just see how long a post is up front so I can decide if I have time to read it at the moment or not. Also, I don't like having to click to a new page to continue reading one post. TPM loads quite slowly sometimes for me - is that true with others?
