DID THE REPUBLICANS INFILTRATE ACORN, IN ORDER TO DISCREDIT IT?
Just like Nixon, harassing citizen groups, by infiltrating them, and then creating or manufacturing causes, so they could bring action against the groups, shutting down dissent.
The machinations of John McCain are like his Republican Party, MORE OF THE SAME.

No need for them to do so, if you understand the exceedingly simple process.
1. Voter registration is often done by private/non-gov't organizations.
2. Such voter registration organizations THEN give the voter registrations to the state's voter registration OFFICIALS.
3. The state's voter registration OFFICIALS then eliminate problem registrations AS A DAY IN AND DAY OUT ROUTINE.
The ONLY problem is that there is NO problem but the LIE that there IS a problem.
There would be no need to "infiltrate" ACORN in feffort to make it do that it cannot: control and maintain the state's OFFICIAL voter registration listings/database. So all the Republicans need do is that they are doing: LIE about the process in order to SMEAR ACORN -- and by extension Obama -- in its racist campaign against all of the moderate and low income, INCLUDING poor whites, primarily by turning whites against blacks and thus dustrct them from the manipulations and manipulators.

Imagine you’re a Republican, and you see a ground swell of new registrations, among the youth and certain elements of the electorate (Race)
So just as the dirty tricks of Nixonian tactics, you send your stooges to apply as workers for Acorn.
These new wolves in sheep’s clothing, take these registration forms back to their handlers, who in turn place questionable names on the forms, handing them back to ACORN, knowing full well they have corrupted the process.
Then when the time is right, these troublemakers call for an investigation of ACORN because there are problems in the registration process.
DUH!!!
The Republicans should know there’s a problem they created it.
