AIG Bonus's and Bush Moles

Much as I dislike the Obama's economics team a couple of things about the AIG bonus mess leap out at me.
1) It has been widely reported on the bush junta's efforts to plant moles in the government bureaucracy

2) It has also been widely reported that the appointments for the Treasury department are proceeding very slowly and that Geithner is lacking in trusted asst.'s and appointed staff.

3) During AIG's testimony yesterday he kept reiterating that he had informed the Fed. Reserve and assumed that they had informed the treasury about these bonus's. It has also been shown with historical records over the last 40 years that the Fed works with the R's and against the D's within the limited range possible within their charter.

So just for the sake of conjecture isn't it possible that this information was slow walked/buried by R's with in the beuaracracy in an effort to embarrass the Obama administration.

Two things would have to be explained one would be since Geithner came out of the NY Fed. why didn't he know prior to his appointment? - Some reports on these contracts suggest that they were written in Dec of 2008 by then Geithner would have been involved in preparing for confirmation hearings.
The other item is how/who had the anti bonus provision pulled from TARP 2? - Sp far it seems as if it came from an unnamed Treasury official. According to Sen. Dodd it was a staff to staff exchange. This could be explained by a bush 5th columnist planted within the Treasury staff.

Far Fetched? Perhaps but when it has been reported that the previous administration had assassination squads reporting only to the vice president far fetched has to be considered.

Supporting evidence
Think Progress ยป TARP inspector general says Bush administration specifically considered and approved AIG bonuses.

"...Yesterday, AIG CEO Edward Liddy testified that Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke approved these bonuses,..."

I don't understand your Bush moles conspiracy. Why does Bush care? Do you have any evidence? I guess I could also say that it was the Obama moles that were ruining the economy when Bush was still in office?

Normally I wouldn't bother to respond but today.

1) Bush, and the rethuglican's care because they are trying to evade responsibility for the result of deregulation and the generally inept, incompetent policy's of the last 8 years. The way to do that is blame everything bad in the first 6 years on Clinton and blame Obama for the last 2 years.

The evidence that they care is in the bush rehabilitation tour that former (and present) bush lackeys are engaged in as they try to rewrite history.

2)The concept of Obama moles in the Bush administration is inane on the face of it. Since Obama wasn't in charge of the executive branch before bush it was impossible for him to plant moles in the professional staff of the Gov. Hence the inanity.

Where bush politicized and trashed the professionalism of the various Gov. agencies by appointing "loyal bushies" in every position he could. We know about the outrageous behavior in the DOJ as well as he Brownie at FEMA and the PR director at NOAA who without any science background was requiring substantive changes in studies so the "facts" were more in line with ideology. I could go on about the ones that have been reported on how many fifth columnist were planted who have not yet, and probably never will, been caught and/or reported on?
