Let's access the voting process. First, a voter registers to vote by filling out a form and showing proof of residence. Then, voter registration cards are issued. This is then presumably followed by actually voting. Life is good. The American dream is being realized. Democracy in action. Right?

Not so much. It seems that the elderly( or just retirees),college students, and the poor are being targeted by the Republicans. 'What on earth for' you ask? Well it seems that it just doesn't pay to not be a Republican. If you are a snow bird, change jobs often, work away from home,or go away to school, or maybe you just got evicted, or maybe you're just a senior citizen that votes Democratic, you are likely to have your vote nullified by the Rove School of Voter Disenfranchising. Harriet Christian has no idea just how soon her cry of 'disenfranchisement' will become a reality.

John Kerry would rightly be the POTUS if it weren't for Ohio's mass voter disenfranchising. It worked so well the first time, our self righteous republicans are working even harder this time around. One hundred thousand purged from New Jersey's voter rolls. Eighteen thousand and counting in Florida. Unkown but growing numbers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesotta, and all of the other so called 'Purple' states are just begining.

If we don't have a plan to stop this insanity, we won't have a democrocy very much longer.

So what should we do? Get out to your local County Clerks office and get those lists of purged or contested voters. Next, find these voters and make sure they get all they need to get properly registered. Like the nuns of South Bend Indiana, if you don't get to the county seat to prove residency, you will be turned away at the polls. If your neighbor needs a ride, make sure they get one. If you know some one that needs help, for God's sake, HELP them.

If we don't do this now, November will be too late.
