Browsers and Site Rendering

Update 11-08-2006 (new text italicised):

A no longer so fresh space created to resolve site rendering problems in browsers. (Windows only please is preferrable, but i'm willing to try and resolve problems with other OS's, even though i've miniscule experience with Apple boxes)

What is minimally needed to begin:

  1. OS version
  2. CPU and RAM
  3. Browser version

The first two can be obtained by going to start->control panel->system, and copying the information. The registered to part is not needed.

The browser version can be obtained, while in the main browser window: help->about.

That's a start. I use firefox on a fairly high-end box with all updates for both the browsers and the OS (Win XP -AMD Dual Core CPU with 2gig of RAM). I kind of cheat, but the site renders well, both in Firefox and IE, so at least I have a referent to work from.

Let know about your problems, and maybe I can help.

Update 9-20-2006:

I've created a small site within namespace I control for trying to work out problems some are having with the TPM Cafe behaving properly in their browser. So far, there is just one entry there. It's an attempt to understand and fix the invisible/nonexistent text editor buttons. If you are unable to see the buttons under the text box, feel free to visit it here.
