McCain's ties to Ayers
From Andy Sullivan, who has been pretty good this cycle:
Go ahead, McCain: Talk about Ayers at the debate. Just remember what they say about people who live in seven glass houses and throwing stones. More here.
Republican machers Walter and Leonora Annenberg gave the former terrorist $50 million. ... Annenberg was Nixon's ambassador to Britain. If Obama is "palling around with terrorists," the Republican Annenbergs are funding them. Yesterday, the McCain campain put out a press release boasting that Leonore Annenberg had just endorsed him for president. Why is McCain happy to accept the endorsement of a funder of terrorism?

Leave it to McCain to take the bait! OBAMA is daring him to open this can of worms, and it is so obvious that the IDIOT doesn't even know it! but, hey, I could be wrong, and McCain will get it and not let OBAMA have his counter-punch strategy?
Nah! I forgot, he's be too stupid to see beyond his next flip-flop...my bad!

Sorry, no Zing! here. This equation has an opaque and convoluted logic that is untranslatable to the average person.
1. Ayers bombed the Pentagon in 1972.
2. The Annenberg Foundation began in 1989, and funded the Annenberg Challenge indirectly with $50 million parceled out to Chicago from a larger national initiative dedicated to inner-city education programs.
3. The Annenbergs did not fund Ayers to bomb the Pentagon or anything else.
4. Ayers bombed the Pentagon while Nixon was president and Annenberg was ambassador the the Court of St. James's.
5. Obama and Ayers worked together on more than one project.
6. People will not connect Ayers to Walter Annenberg himself. And they will certainly not connect McCain to Ayers, as the title of this post suggests!
7. Bombing the Pentagon is considered by most people to be a bad thing, not a good thing.
As usual, Andrew Sullivan has his head so far up his ass this cycle it's not even funny.

OK, and what exactly was Obama's relationship with Ayers in 1972?

Obama and Ayres didn't know each other in 1972, of course. But I don't see how Obama's relationship with Ayres in any decade is going to tip the election, so why is Sullivan strategizing how to pin Ayres on McCain instead? Sullivan is obviously bored.
