Joe: Tax cheat, unlicensed and Keating family member
So, let me get this straight. Joe "the plumber" Wurzelbacher has no license to practice plumbing, has neglected to pay his taxes and is a relative of the Keating family. The first two points are largely irrelevant, though they will no doubt be studied by the media for hours. But the question the media should be asking is this: Is Wurzelbacher a McCain campaign plant, who was deliberately placed in Obama's path in Ohio? And if so, what does this say about John McCain's relationship with the Keatings, which he insists ended years ago? And if they say he wasn't a plant, is this just too much of a coincidence to believe?

Man, this just keeps getting better. I knew something bothered me about that guy, but I can't believe he was a Repub plant in Ohio and was then the main prop McSame uses in a crucial debate. Did they think nobody was going to research/background check this fool? Their campaign is a simple f***ing disaster (pardon the language) I cannot believe that they could be so stupid??

The whole "Joe" thing wreaked.
No. They don't think. The McCain campaign reacts, improvises, and hopes for the best. They are incapable of crafting any semblance of an over-arching strategy for anything.
I never thought anything could be worse than the Bush junta, but I think McCain and his moronic henchman are in the same league if not worse.
Thanks for the post.

We don't care about old washed-up guys who claim to be plumbers. LOL

Was the house he sat in while TeeVee interviewed his house? Or was it downscale from the real thing?

Did I hear somewhere that this here independent Joe is registered as a Republican and voted in the GOP primary?
Yes, I heard it right at MSNBC.

So he's not allowed to ask a simple question of Obama? He didn't asked to be used as a political tool by McCain. The venom on this site toward "Joe Plumber" is disgusting.

He has been granting interviews all day attacking Obama and repeating republican talking points. Maybe he didn't ask to be used by McCain, but he's certainly jumped at the opportunity created for him. If you're going to go on TV and attack a candidate, you'd better expect some oppo research.
But I agree that we should do a bit more of this research before jumping on some of the wilder claims. We don't know that he's related to Keating, and we don't have any proof that he was in cahoots with McCain beforehand.

You were there, right? He wasn't asked, he volunteered to "misstate" the facts -- to LIE?

No one is holding you here against your will. Perhaps you meant to go to rapture ready or LGF. Common mistake.

GOP aspirants to the White House have always had an election-year issue with plumbers.

I think it's best to just let this drop. This guy has already made a fool of himself and John McCain. Attacking him will just give McCain/Palin another excuse to attack Obama.
Let's raise above this and talk issues - because McCain/Palin do not have a response to those!!

Excuse me!? McLiar apparently attempts to DEFRAUD the voters of their votes by brazen deceit and you want to be "above" refuting the lie and pointing to the CHARACTER issue it reveals?
Let me guess: you are "Joe the Plumber," registered Republican, and will be voting for McLiar even though you lied that you're undecided.

Joe the Plumber is just symbolic to me, it doesn't matter who he really is. The point that should be made is that someone somewhere put a blue-collar, middle class label on him and once he makes over $250k he is still symbolically the blue-collar worker whom Obama is going to tax. That is the issue--who is trying to plant that scenario in the minds of the 95% who won't pay higher taxes with Obama? I have no doubts.

Joe the Plumber was just a ploy to take the media's eyes off them while they installed their filthy nationwide robocall program.
Now that the robocall system is up and going, they'll drop more hints of "vote fraud" at ACORN. Next up: voters will be discouraged about Obama's "ties" to vote fraud, the polls will tighten, and Rove will steal the election.

Afterward, left-leaning Chicken Littles everywhere will breathe a sigh of relief. Yay! We get to wear our sackcloth outfits and talk about the evils of the system for another four years!

I was about ready to blow this incident off as Obama fan paranoia utill I saw his interviews with the crush of media in his driveway.
An articulate plumber with zero qualms about 50 media folks in his driveway who has a lot to say but stays just coy enough to not actually say outloud I have always been a republican.
Most plumbers I know are gone to work early and come home dirty as hell this guy looked like he was straight from central casting.
Now I have no doubt he is a plumber and lives in Scranton. But someone, anyone, find me another plumber who can face a camera, smile and speak in full complete sentences.
When something looks too good to be true it usually is.

After seeing Joe interviewed, all I can say is that if this guy is truly "undecided" that is really bad news for John McCain. They guy is the quintessential right wing crackpot.

Joe is not related. The Robert M. Wurzelbacher that is supposedly Joe's father was 37 years old in 1991. He lives in Arizona. The other Robert M. Wurzelbacher that is Joe the Plumber's father is an 83 year old retiree in Ohio.
Can we please end this nonsense before it gets totally out of hand? This detracts from our mission to pummel the Republicans into little pancakes.

So Joe turns out to be that thing which preys on decent home0owning Americans, and unlicensed plumber, and not a liscensed contractor. And very little he said ads up either. The NYTs took Joe apart. Here's a good example
I wouldn't take Joe's advice. I pay my taxes, and have the right business liscenses, for starters.

I agree with everyone who says that we need to drop this. Joe's just another attempt at diversion from the fact that McCain does not want to talk about the issues. This guy is getting vetted by the media, thereby eliminating time in a news cycle that would (hopefully) be spent on addressing our concerns.
Wait.. the MSM always does this.
In regards to the whole Keating relationship: you can't chose your family and guilt by association is almost always a bad argument to make.
