A friend who gave up on the dream of America a long time ago wrote this:

"For the first time in a while, I
am a proud American. For at least one day, we can look the rest of
the world in the eye and say "hey, when it counts, who is the most
progressive? When something bigger than each of us is at stake, who
can make the right choice?" We showed tonight the true strength of
our political system, and moral character, after 12 years of it being
buried by nonsense. Whatever happens tomorrow, or a year from now, or
four years from now, we have every right to be proud of this day, and
look back on it as a time when we did the right thing."

This is an incredible moment in our history. A powerful moment for us as a people. But it is just a moment. It is up to us to come together to build something from this moment. The next year, the next four years... all of it, is up to us.
