The show This American Life should turn to politics more often. In this case, I thought the horror it uncovered is almost surreal, even though it's grown familiar.

It's a great show--covered the Uygurs before, and did a couple of good pieces on Afghanistan, through they eyes of the Americanized son of a well-connected Afghan.
It ran a whole hour on the Christianization of the country, titled "Godless Country." It detailed the history of religion here, and included a long piece by Julia Sweeney. Highly recommended.
