yes indeed, and they're often able to weasel out of the environmental, labor, and tax laws in host countries due to their bargaining leverage. the book "saving capitalism from the capitalists" that made a big noise just a couple years back got into this -- and how guys like berlusconi can use their power as heads of these behemoths to get elected to national office -- and then change national and global regulation for the benefit of their own corporations.
youre definitely on the right page, and i also appreciate hearing the insights of someone that has been around for awhile. thanks for having the patience to stay current! cant really blame those that dont, but i certainly appreciate those that do.

i go across every chance i get, and on the bike.
if you find yourself in that neck o' the woods, they call highway 50 "the loneliest road in america." it's a two-laner that goes for about 700 miles i think, i've ridden it end to end (and solo) a number of times now. beautiful vistas, long stretches where you don't see another vehicle -- just be sure youve got enough gas!
one of my favorite alternatives to the interstate.

so, your profile states that youre a conservative independent that identifies as republican in asia? wow. how you republicans doin over there? these guys need help in america, so maybe you can lend em a hand. one thing is that over here our president doesnt "rule" our country like u said. i can see how you may have thought that from the last guy, but really you can look it up im not lying about that. so maybe tell your republican friends here in the US what you found out, and that may help a little. theyll be finding out on their own in a little while, as a bunch of em will probably go to jail for not knowing that (over here ignorance of the law is no excuse either.) but it might be nice if they know whats coming and why, and can pick out a decent toothbrush and pair of flip-flops before they go. oh yeah, if any of your republican friends over here are bankers, you might want to tell them they dont actually "rule" either -- as they are also about to find out.
