<br /><br />McCain's instinct is to follow Obama.

<br /><br />Something similar happened in the debate with Brokaw. Brokaw warned Obama about the time and Obama said he would keep talking because it was an important point to clarify.

When McCain wanted more time he <i>asked permission</i>. <br /><br />While not overtly noticed by the audience, I think it's these sorts of things people mean when they say that Obama "looks" more presidential.

That, and he's not twitching and grimacing like an overdosed caffeine fiend.]]>

      <![CDATA[So it's becoming more and more clear what Sarah Palin really reads. <br /><br />She <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-f-kennedy-jr/governor-palins-reading-l_b_126478.html">quotes Westbrook Pegler</a>, who Robert Kennedy, Jr. notes had this to day about his father -<br /><br />"some white patriot of the Southern tier will spatter his spoonful of brains in public premises before the snow flies."<br /><br />And she reads <i>The New American</i>, a John Birch Society periodical.<br /><br />Here are some thoughts <a href="http://firedoglake.com/2008/09/18/is-sarah-palin-a-closet-john-bircher/">here</a>, and <a href="http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0908/Whats_on_the_desk.html?showall">here</a>.<br /><br />But, of course, her speech was scripted for her, and it's possible the article is just a prop. <br /><br />But, I remain curious.       <![CDATA[The recent cease and desist order to the McCain campaign from Universal Music Publishing and Sony BMG on behalf of Ann and Nancy Wilson, the sisters better known as Heart, isn't the first time McCain has engaged in intellectual property theft.<br /><br />Heart was unhappy with the campaign's decision to play "Barracuda" as a sort of theme song for Sarah "Baracuda" Palin.<br /><br />Van Halen asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using the song "Right Now."<br /><br />Jackson Browne asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using the song "Running on Empty."<br /><br />Mike Myers and Saturday Night Live asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using a "we're not worthy" clip from a "Wayne's World" sketch.<br /><br />Warner Music Group asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using Frankie Valli's song "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."<br /><br />Representative John Hall, onetime member and songwriter of the band Orleans, asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using his song "Still the One."<br /><br />John Mellencamp asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using his songs "Our Country," and "Pink Houses."<br /><br />Last year Fox News Channel asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using debate clips owned by Fox News in his political advertisements.<br /><br />ABBA asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using their song "Take a Chance on Me."<br /><br />Chuck Berry asked the McCain campaign to cease and desist from using his song "Johnny B.
