The Republican Party likes to parade around with its family values and its patriotism. Well, if the Republican Party really believes in family values and America, if it's not just lip service, I can't find anything in either the Bible or the Constitution about drill here, drill now. Maybe, it's just me.
I do, however,  know lines about loving thy neighbor as thyself; about pursuing happiness and liberity; about instilling in our children the important values.
As Hillary Clinton mentioned, I know stories of abolitioners -- women and men, black and white -- fighting together to end slavery in this country. I know stories of proud men and women who put their country first and lives second to create and sustain America and the free world. We all know more stories like that.
But what are the stories our children will tell their children about us? What legacy can we begin to leave today?
