Can A Maverick Lead?
The question that must be raised by supporters of Barack Obama is, "can John McCain lead his own party, much less working across the isle?"
In the wake of the failure of the majority of Republicans to back a Republican proposal, proffered by a Republican President, and backed by the Republican Party's own Presidential Nominee, John McCain, who as we all know "suspended" his campaign to ensure the passage of this legislation to stave off economic disaster, how can anyone expect that John McCain can lead the his own party much less reform it?
Has John McCain's self advertised Maverick persona so alienated his Republican colleagues, has his demeanor and temperament
