Tolkien Analog for Financial Crisis

To whom is Tim Geithner analagous in J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings"?

Frodo? Wormtoungue? Golem? In the picture on TPM frontpage right now, he looks like Elrond! Note the pointy ears. :)

(Thanks to MiddleClassBill for the idea)

Look at Geitner's eyes. Looks like he's putting an Elf spell on Dodd.

I see Spock ticked off at illogic. I say give the dude a chance.

That's a 'spock-on' comment, Steve. I think he's a hobbit.

I'm with the white puppy dog on this one. He is so totally Spock in this picture.....look at his left eyebrow!

White dog says, thank you but we haven't been a puppy in many a year, (although the picture is recent.)

My dad says, "Spock it to me."

Snuggles and kisses.

Mistakes were made. There is an extra "to" in the first sentence. I apologize and am sorry for the extra redundancy.

Mistakes were made. Bush made mistakes. Most were intentional.

This is a good picture and yes, I See Spock.

Oh and we have a nice edit function. Go back and play with it under MANAGE. You just hit entry under that and you will see a list and click this one post. And it will show up. Edit and you do not even
lose the comments after hitting save.

I do it all the time. Should do it more.

Sweet. Thank you for the tip.

MANAGE - where does it hide? Like wow...

user-pic

I usually eke out. Is that the same as manage?

user-pic

You are thinking of that film actress Eke Sommer. And, if you were implying that I have MANGE dem is fighting words... So, step outside!

user-pic

i found it, thanks to dickday. 'Manage' is at the top of the page next to 'create' when you go into 'blog now'.

Well Done! I love it when people can take info from one place and combine it with info from another place! :)

Kudos!

Could certainly be Grima Wormtongue.

Then again it could be Saruman who was the good wizard gone over to the Dark Lord unbeknownst to the forces of good until a very late stage. He thought the victory of evil inevitable and irresistable and so allied himself with the Dark Lord so he could rule alongside him in the aftermath of the Dark Lord's conquest of middle earth.
