No to SoS Clinton
I don't want to waste Hillary on the SoS position. I want her in the Senate for the next 30 years...
Yes, she could do it and do it well, but so could lots of other people. Few have shown such aptitude for the Senate as she has demonstrated. Stay in the Senate, Hil, and take it over!!

To late. It's reported she will be announced for the job after Thanksgiving.

By whom, that all-purpose ubiquitous Washington-insider "Anonymous"?
Does that person -- assuming an individual -- carry an official ID?

Sounds like a great idea. Except she has little power in the Senate because of her lack of seniority.

That's why she needs to stick around

Agreed. She's intelligent and competent and ultimately can get much more accomlished in the Senate. For Obama as well.
I too hope she chooses to stay in the Senate.

I'm going to miss her too, being from NY. She's a great senator.
But maybe she can do some good in re-establishing America's face to the world, which Bush has completely beaten to a pulp.

Until it's announced offically, it isn't officially announced.
In other words: we don't know that she'll be Sec. of State.

My sense is the Clintons have no respect for Obama. That's the biggest problem I foresee including Hillary and Bill as a cabinet pick. (Bill comes with Hillary no matter what.)

My sense is that you hate the Clintons, and will come up with any excuse to justify it.
My sense -- based upon observation of body language -- is that Obama and Clinton like each other, and get along well -- without time for personality nonsense because both are focused on GOALS.
And, no: Bill does not come with Hillary "no matter what". Learn the difference between, on one hand, your sort of political bile, and on the other, rule of law, and how our system of laws functions. And stop substituting the irrelevant former for the centrally requisite latter.

ouch, pretty harsh. I don't hate Hillary. Even if I did hate her, it would be no reason to disqualify her from any potential cabinet position. Even politics is, to a certain extent, a meritocracy. And she certainly has merit. For me, it's more a matter of the dynamics of the cabinet as a whole, as a team.
But I respect your point of view.

Hillary is not ain a position where she can give orders. She takes orders and serves at the pleasure of the POTUS. There are three people between Hillary and the BO, Biden (VP), Rham (CS) and Gen Jones (sr FPA). Neither of those men are fond of Hillary.
This idea that she will undermine BO is stupid. The minute she does that she will be gone.
