Wolfson Heard Coaching Doctors Before Conference Call

I know campaigns coach people before they go on a con call but I thought this was pretty funny and posting it to for others who might think so to.

If we had any doubt that this campaign has gone on too long, that was amply illustrated by the the comic relief of the Clinton campaign's daily conference call to spin reporters yesterday.

First, the campaign apparently didn't realize that their mikes were open too early, so reporters could hear communications director Howard Wolfson warming up the two surrogates on the call - two doctors ready to trash Obama's health care plan, one of whom was cell-foning from his daughter's soccer game.

We heard Wolfson admonish the docs to be careful with what they say, because reporters "would like nothing more than to have us in a situation where we have something we have to go back on." We also heard Wolfson ask the operator not to take any "anonymous" calls.

After the docs droned on awhile about the nuances of the candidates' health care plans, they asked for questions, and it was clear no reporters had any. I suspect nobody cared much about the stale back-and-forth on who's plan does what, and had learned that if you ask a real question about the campaign, you don't get anything like a remotely candid response.

So after a pause, the campaign took a caller who asked if Hillary had any more muffin-tops. Wolfson quickly cut that off and took a caller who identified himself as Steve from the Reading media, and asked something about "moose-knuckles."

Wolfson put a merciful end to the thing and invited reporters to e-mail if they had a real question.

Mayhill Fowler: Alone Again Naturally

I was looking through a few articles on Huffington Post and saw a post from Mayhill Fowler. Thinking it would be a long time before I saw that name again, I wondered what she could possibly be writing about now. Michelle Obama.

Read her post here

I presume she has been rightfully derailed from Obama himself and hence relegated herself to stalking Michelle.

Her first paragraph includes the word “post-bittergate” and I find Ms. Fowler’s arrogance laughable. Try as she may, Obama has felt little of her ardent efforts to debase him and this self serving wannabe now has appointed herself to be the judge of Michelle.

Her attempts to place herself again within the campaign to deign her place pre and post-bittergate as though this is her moment of where she attempts to redefine the controversy, using the moment to escalate her ego as a serious citizen journalist

Crowned the campaign's virtual troll seemingly waiting for that next juicy tidbit that may get her writings to the MSM in her vain attempt of getting credit and her name actually mentioned on the airwaves for another gotcha moment.

Her post is no more then a thinly veiled hit job. She has a smattering of flattering remarks but where she can she stabs at Michelle as though practicing her aim to take down her victim for the final kill.

I know one thing you can count on Ms. Fowler. You will never have access to Obama again  and I’d be willing to bet, Michelle ignored you as well.

Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
