Although Joe is a neocon on foreign policy wasn't he supposedly a liberal on domestic policy?
Exactly.
During the CT primary, apologists for Lieberman made this argument--that he was a liberal on everything but the war. This was never true (he's always been something of a cultural conservative)--but after his support for McCain in the presidential election and now his turn against public healthcare, there's no way Lieberman can be considered anything close to a liberal. The Democratic establishment should have stood firmly behind the primary winner--Ned Lamont--and fought Lieberman tooth and nail. But once again, the party without a backbone folded. Now they should kick him out of their caucus, but of course they won't. The Democrats are just pathetic losers, squandering their best opportunity for political dominance in decades by failing to differentiate themselves from the Republicans and instead cowering and caving every time some right winger criticizes them. It's almost certain that we'll have a Republican majority and maybe a Republican president again in four years. With Democrats like Liberman and Baucus (and Obama?), maybe we already do.
Yeah ...It's a bitch . . .
It's a real bitch when the representative democracy we use in Washington is so different than the direct democracy you seem to wish to see how things should be run.
But that's the choice ya' make when you're a sorta ex-liberal-Republican-fiscally-conservative-liberal.
WOW ... that's a mouthful.
Oh well . . .
~OGD~
Dear Joe, Fuck off and die. I hope they bury you with that stupid grin you always have. I just want you to be happy as you burn in hell.
Being from CT I would say this...
Dear Joe Lieberman, please come home now we need you here more than we do in Washington.
Oh screw this guy. Give Snowe what she wants to vote for cloture.
You must have jacked the Wicked Queen's Magic Mirror, and every morning it tells you that you, indeed, are the Fairest of Them All. Who is it you see in the Mirror? Does the visage change daily?
I thought you meant fill in the blank between Lieberman's ears. I tried, but the local parks commission got after me for trying to steal a truckload of sand. It wasn't enough anyhow.
Hahahaha!
FO and die !

ah Joe...never mind..I need to take a shit anyway!
Dear Joe Lieberman:
Thanks for blocking health care reform, from your good friends at Purdue Pharma, Aetna, Pfizer, Mass Mutual and New York Life Insurance, American "Health Care" Association", and Seniors "HealthCare".
As per our annual purchase agreement, enclosed please find a check for $300,000.
ps-will we see you in the Caymans next month?
Joe,
What goes around, comes around... in fact pass that on to all your good friends because your evil deeds will come back to haunt you in the end.
If you were smart you'd start trying to make amends right now and it looks like you need to do some BIG good deeds and righting of wrongs... but so far 'smart' does not seem to apply.
What Dick Cheney said to Sen. Leahy :)
Dear Joe Lieberman:
Thank you for representing your constituents and saying what you think, in spite of partisan recriminations and primary challenges, for so many years. I appreciate your seriousness, and your integrity. It may be lost on many of your fellow Senators, but it is not lost on your constituents or those around the country who respect the rare public figure who isn't interested in spouting the party line for the sake of his career.
That's about how I feel. I don't know that Joe is right or wrong on health care, but I know Joe.
That's so true, once you realize that Joe's actual consitutents are big pharma, the insurance industry, Israel, and anyone else who will pay up. Connecticut citizens? Hahahahahahahaha! Suckers!
Dear Joe Lieberman,
In my dictionary, the definition for traitor has your picture beside it. Well! Will you look at that! So does spinelss, contemptible, disengenuous, and deplorable. Wait! There you are beside despicable, loathesome, sleazey, slimey and slippery!
Why are defense budgets, insurance industry profits, and Iraq so important, but over forty million uninsured Americans, and the costs they incur through emergency room care that we all pick up, not?
Does endorsing the huge costs of the former versus doing about the latter because of fiscal concerns not strike you as hypocritical?
Dear Joe Lieberman,
The devil doesn't schmooze. So keep practicing that wide, sleazy Grinch grin of yours and while you're at it, try bending over and touching your toes more often, because old Mephistopheles is going to teach you a new meaning for "all wee wee'd up" while you roast for eternity skewered on his pecker.
P.S.: Ptoooh!
Dear Joe . . .
Have you got a clue why the tribe was left wandering the desert for 40 years?
Here's a big clue:
'They always go astray in their heart;
they have not known My ways.' As I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest.'
Dear Joe Lieberman,
Why do you hate America?

Yeah I just hit that this evening. I will touch on it tomorrow.
OGD, I hate that guy. Jon Stewart just skewers him with that hound dog cartoon. hahahahahahahahah
Dear Joe Lieberman:
Oh, a powerful man are you. If people do not speak to you kindly you just might, just might vote with the repubs on cloture.
And if you do, make no mistake about it.
YOU WILL BE OUT ON YOUR ASS IN 2012.
Watch it hound dog.
Very truly yours
