Thank you for the link to the quick overview. Over the past 24 hours I've read so many bills my eyes were beginning to glaze over, so quick was nice.

I'm just curious, how did it go from the triumph of impending healthcare reform to Reich's desperate talking points on how to save it.

.

Uh ... No thanks . . .

No bites on the bait today.

You invariably pose leading question so as to allow you to side track threads and spout BS that has nothing to do with the thread you're in.

Better yet, run back over to Reich's post and present the question there.

This thread is not about you and your petty questions.

You bring no substance to this thread.

Comprehende hombre...?

Thank you for that link! Whatever the bill proposes today will be meat for lobbyists to chew away before any part of it becomes law. Wonder how to turn the spotlight of public shame on these termites...

thanks OG.

Maybe the backlash from the private insurance industry toward a public option is similar to the powerful Detroit auto lobbies that railed against energy efficiency.

The auto industry cajoled the federal government to fight against environmental protection initiatives, clean air acts, zero emissions standards, laws that would raise CAFE standards, etc., for decades.

Meanwhile, companies like Honda built more affordable, efficient, better built cars.

It's not as simplistic as that, but there are parallels.

If the private insurance industry fears competition, that's a good thing, isn't it?
