« Health Care Plan: Did ya' hear what the fox said to the weasels? | OldenGoldenDecoy's Blog | Obama: Strongly believes Americans should have the choice of a new public health insurance plan that would compete against private insurers »

Ted Kennedy: "Americans want the choice of enrolling in a health insurance program backed by the government for the public good, not private profit."

   And . . .

He also stated:

"So that option will be available."

Also ... At Bloomberg News Kennedy is quoted as saying:

"An important foundation of our legislation is the following principle: If you like the coverage you have now, you keep it," Kennedy wrote. "But if you don't have health insurance or don't like the insurance you have, our bill will give you new, more affordable options."

I hope so. I need it.
I'm 31. I haven't had insurance for years, then had it with my job. Then I got laid off, and lost it, just as I was getting my health on track. I'm a diabetic type 1, so I wish I had some coverage.
Plus, I receive unemployment, so I still have too much "income" to receive medicaid.
