MSM loses the election for Dems -- AGAIN!
Thanks to their successful misinformation campaign around John Kerry's botched joke, the mainstream media appears on the verge of aiding and abetting the GOP and hurting the Democrats in the upcoming elections. Their saturation coverage has been inflicted upon 84% of Americans, compared with only 26% who have heard that Bush just gave Rumsfeld a vote of confidence and two more years of undeserved job security.
From Hotline's blog:
Pew is out with their final pre-election poll and just like the ABC/Wash. Post poll, Pew shows Republicans with momentum. In the generic ballot, Dems lead by just 4 points. More importantly, the GOP has made significant cuts into the Dems once gigantic lead among indies. Also of note, from the release:
"There also are some indications that Sen. John Kerrys botched joke about the war Iraq may have had a modest impact on the race. Fully 84% of voters say they have heard a lot or a little about Kerrys remarks with 60% saying they have heard a lot. By comparison, just 26% say they have heard a lot about President Bushs statement that he will keep Donald Rumsfeld as secretary of Defense until he leaves office in 2009."

Here's my take on what you must get asked at the interviews for ABC/CNN/MSNBC/CBS:
In the final week of a close mid-term election campaign, the President states that he is retaining his disastrous SecDef for another two years just after the former candidate for President from the other party botches a joke in a way that is susceptible to being purposefully manipulated into sounding bad by those who are not stupid enough to actually believe that the former candidate actually meant it.
Which story do you lead with for the final week of the campaign?
Anyway, thanks, so-called liberal media!
Great job covering the real story among the two possibilities above. I know it's a challenge to determine which story is real. Americans are so much better informed, thanks to you.
