Joe is an "O". That stands for "opportunist." So Joe-O jumps from a sinking ship when it looks like it's time for the rats to do so. I think he's hoping to get the same treatment from Obama that Obama gave to Colin Powell, but I suspect he's wrong and will receive his comeuppance after the dust has settled. On a personal note, Joe-O seemed very smarmy to me as a speaker and as a newly converted Independent. Being an Independent, myself, I never welcomed him to our ranks. So, Toodle-O, Joe-O.

Don't forget ex-governor Jeb Bush in 2012. He was very popular in Florida. He's smart, a good politician, and was supposed to be the heir apparent. Right now he's lying low because of the mess his brother has made of the Republican Party, but if Obama is elected and makes some mistakes, as he will, no prejudice here, good old Jeb will be right there to pick up the pieces of the Republican Party and initiate his candidacy.

"Hello, I'm calling for Barack Obama and the DNC because you need to know that John McCain has gone on joint vacations with convicted felon Charles Keating, whose Lincoln Savings scammed thousands out of their savings, and held a fund-raiser in the living room of another convicted felon, G. Gordon Liddy, who advocated killing people and was part of the Watergate break-in. And Republicans will enact an extreme right-wing agenda if they take control of Washington. Sarah Palin and her Republican allies lack the judgment to lead our country. This call was paid for by Obama-Biden 2008 and the Democratic National Committee at 202-863-8500."
