"No Law Against Hate" in Arizona, White Baptist Pastor Still Believes Obama Should Die
Pastor Steven L. Anderson is still praying for Obama to die. If this guy was a Muslim would he still be free and spouting this stuff to the media? I guess the 'right to hate' must be somewhere in the Bill Of Rights because the Republicans love hating almost as much as they love their guns.
Anderson, who briefly emerged from the church door, said "absolutely" to a media question about whether he still believes Obama should die.
Members of Faithful Word Baptist Church ambled into a strip mall to listen to their pastor...About 24 members of Faithful Word Baptist Church carried Bibles. After the one-hour service, members defended their pastor and described him as a "caring human being."
One member, who wore a black polo shirt with a message emblazoned in red, "Hating is not a Crime," strutted in the parking lot.
...and white racists in an upscale suburb of Phoenix vandalized cars with racist symbols:
Three years ago, Michele Jaber left Burbank, Calif., for Fountain Hills with a better future for her children in mind.
On Sunday, as Jaber, who is Black, and her husband, Mike, hoped for a quiet barbecue with friends from California, they instead found a swastika, "KKK" and sexual images painted on the windows of two vehicles....Someone also wrote "Jew" on a separate car in Fountain Hills.

Has McCain, the grand ol' Senator from Arizona, addressed this issue? Any of the elected politicos come forward and spoken out?
Thanks.

McCain has not to my knowledge not uttered a peep about Arizona's own Baptist Mullah.
I would imagine with the worst per capita budget deficit of any state, a Republican 'controlled' state legislature in what the Arizona Republic has termed 'disorder' in dealing with the budget (they keep wanting to cut taxes as a solution to the deficit not comprehending that doing so does not put funds into the bare cupboards of the state's treasury) the last thing the state needs is more bad publicity and a silent senior Senator, John McCain.
Between the guns in the streets, that travel guy discouraging travel to Arizona, and the Mullah praying for Obama's death, I would think quite a few of the Republicans whose resorts, businesses and income depend on tourism are not very happy with the local wingnut fundamentalists leading news reports from the state.

Appreciate response.
Of course, Arizona has large populace of seniors who, according to all data I've reviewed, make up greatest amount who support and contribute to the right's blather.
McCain's silence only serves to make me all the more relieved and glad Obama won. Sadly, there was a time when I gave McCain altogether too much credit and considered him to be the best of the Repubs. The only disclaimer I will grant myself is that I too, was one of those who chose to be ignorant about the truth.

Perhaps Sarah Palin could join McCain in offering words of caution and restraint, just as they did during the campaign....

Hatred is not a crime ... I'll bet those 6 million Jews Hilter exterminate are relieved to know their deaths wasn't a personal attack on them or their religion.

At least they are not engaging in the old (anti-homo-SEX-ual) "We hate the sin, not the sinner" dodge. This is damn the torpedoes, straight-ahead hatred. And crikey, the good minister is just saying he wishes the President were dead; he's not actually telling people to go murder his A**. They are of the Faithful Word Church, and the Word is DEAD. Yikers.

You don't suppose that people would take their kids to this church but then keep them home from school so they don't get indoctrinated by the President.
